Swifts sounds

Swift calls range from clean single-bird screeches and rolling cries to layered flock choruses circling overhead or feeding young at the nest. Several regional and species-specific recordings appear that the category name does not indicate, including Alpine, white-bellied, white-collared, chimney, black and South African swifts. Lengths run from quick 17-second bursts to nearly four-and-a-half-minute atmospheric beds that let the colony sounds evolve naturally.
