Tern sounds

Tern calls range from single piercing cries and short squeaks of hungry chicks to longer repeating alarms and excited chirps, some isolated while others sit inside surrounding natural noise. Several recordings capture protective or warning behaviour not named in the title. Most last between three and eight seconds so they function as quick cues rather than continuous beds.
