Bee-eater sounds
Bee-eater calls range from single clear cries and melodic whistles to continuous resonant chirps and colony chatter, some isolated while others sit inside busy forest, swamp, city or insect noise. Several regional species appear under generic titles, among them blue-cheeked, carmine, rainbow and golden birds plus their local names. Most files run between ten and twenty seconds, long enough for a natural phrase or short repeating loop but too brief for sustained background.
