Stork sounds

Storks and their close relatives produce clattering beak rolls, guttural calls, whistles and begging squeaks, some from single birds and others from noisy colonies or family groups in the nest. Several recordings feature the shoebill’s machine-gun rattle or roar, which the category title does not indicate. Most clips last around fifteen seconds so they function as concise cues, while the longest single take stretches to nearly a minute and a half.
