Flamingo sounds

Flamingo calls range from single nasal honks and low screams to continuous flock clamour and wing noise, some captured dry in studio or close-up while others sit in open field or lagoon atmospheres. The list includes American, Andean, Caribbean, Chilean and lesser subspecies plus several specific behaviours such as courtship dances, mating rituals and lekking. Lengths run from five-second stabs to minute-long beds that function as naturalistic backgrounds rather than quick cues.
