Sea Lion sounds

Sea lions produce single sharp barks, deep roars, growls, snorts and guttural hunting calls, ranging from clean isolated cries to dense overlapping colony noise. Several Steller sea lion growls and hums appear alongside the more common California recordings. Lengths run from one-second hits through half-minute calls to four-minute colony beds that function as continuous wild backgrounds.
