Marmot sounds

Marmots deliver single high-pitched whistles, piercing shrieks and rapid series of alarm screams that range from clean and close to echoing across valleys or mixed with a mountain stream. Several recordings capture specific species such as yellow-bellied, hoary, bobak and alpine, including young animals and one woodchuck. All clips last between five and twenty-four seconds, making them distinct calls rather than sustained background.
