Baboon sounds

Baboon vocalizations range from single sharp barks and low chest growls to chains of grunts, resonant wa-hoos, and layered screams or squeals, some close and clean while others echo across a troop. Several recordings capture specific species such as olive, yellow, chacma and gelada baboons, plus infant and subordinate calls not obvious from the category name. All clips last between five and thirty-two seconds so they function as distinct cues rather than continuous background.
