Metal strikes, thuds, rings and rattles collide with grinding, sawing, welding and collapsing structures, some dry and close while others echo or layer in continuous beds. A few mix in glass shards or spilled water. Lengths range from single-hit impacts under a second to nearly three-minute factory processes.
