Borehole sounds

Borehole recordings capture drilling, rockfalls, gas hisses, water drips and mechanical hums from deep shafts, differing sharply between short clean impacts, continuous layered rumbles and echoing resonant tones. Many tracks carry cinematic or documentary labels that hide their identical low-frequency tremors and flowing mud effects. Lengths stretch from one-second key turns to nearly five-minute drilling beds, so the set mixes instant cues with extended ambiences.
