Rapid swings of swords, clubs, whips and magic wands cut the air with sharp whistles, while bird and pigeon wings flap in distinct single bursts or rhythmic sequences. A few recordings layer flag cloth, cartoon effects or cooing doves that the category title does not mention. Most are one-second hits for instant cues, though several wing flaps stretch to twenty seconds and one pigeon recording reaches a full minute.
