Tank trucks and ocean-going tankers produce engine hums, metallic knocks, pumping, horns and hull impacts, with some recordings mixing dry close-up action against distant or layered sea motion. A separate group of shipboard ambiences includes radio crackle, bells, rope tension and wave splashes not named in the category title. Lengths run from one-second mechanical hits through six-to-nine-second cues to a single seventy-second continuous milk-tank shake.
