Hookah sounds

Hookah recordings capture bubbling water, gurgling inhales, soft exhales and the hiss of coals being lit or blown on, differing sharply between single clean puffs and longer continuous series. Several titles blend in atmospheric settings such as an eastern market, smoky lounge or balcony at sunset that the category name does not reveal. At two to twelve seconds these are all short cues rather than sustained backgrounds.
